Looking at in-client chats today! I personally find these chats interesting. Anyways, to find longer translations of these conversations, you can check out the official post on Mellow Esports. Link to the site in the footer.
I cherry-picked a few here for grammar-learning purposes.
Keria: Renata…
He used this line when talking about Renata with Deft in the in-client chat:
레나타 스킨 아무것도 없어서 블루오션이잖아
A Renata skin is a blue ocean because there’s none.
레나타 스킨 = Renata skin
아무것(= anything) 도(= also/even)
없(없다 = to be non-existent) 어서(-어서 = because)
블루오션(= blue ocean) 이잖아(-잖아 = you know, don’t you see)
Blue ocean’s meaning is similar to the English saying “smooth sailing”. Because there are no Renata skins, everything should be easier. He compares it to Bard, which has many skins.
Exasperated Deft
This seems to be a conversation they’ve had a lot. Deft says:
아니 왜 물어보는데 답정너누
Why are you asking? You’ve already decided on the answer.
아니 = no
왜 = why
물어보(물어보다 = to ask) 는데(= however, connector)
답정너(= you’ve already decided on the answer) 누(internet ending term)
Keria to Zeus: Renata
Zeus is also pro-Bard, but Keria had his own thoughts. During their chat, Keria mentioned:
레나타는 대회 내 에자주나오 잘 나아 앞으로도
Renata often comes out in tournaments and gets better. That’s true in the future too.
레나타는 = Renata
대회 = competition
내 = throughout, within
에자주나오 = come out frequently to
잘 = well
나아(낫다 = to be/get better) -> irregular verb
앞으로(= in the future) 도(= also)
Previously, we looked at comments about Faker’s emotional speech at the LCK Awards. Check it out here!
