Translating Korean Reactions to T1 Winning Worlds!

It’s been a hot minute since the event, but this is the first post. Just testing everything now.

The Crying Comment

우승컵 들어올리는거 보고 울었네 진짜 = I really cried when I saw him lift the trophy.

우승컵 = winner’s cup

들어(들다 = to lift) 올리는(올리다 = to lift up) 거(= that/thing)

보고(보다 = to see) 고(‘verb stem + 고’ = and)

울었(울다 = to cry in past tense) 네(~네 = nuance, asking for agreement)

진짜 = really


The Excited Comment

이번 결승은 뭔가 선수들도 게임하면서 이미 우승을 직감한 느낌 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ = I feel like the players have already felt the victory while playing the game.

이번 = this time

결승은 = game + topic particle

뭔가 = filler word

선수(= player) 들(plural) 도(= also)

게임하(게임하다 = to play a game) 면서(~(으)면서 = while)

이미 = already

우승(= victory) 을(object particle)

직감한(직감하다 = to have an intuition/a sense) (~ㄴ = forms an adjective)

느낌 = feeling


The Bittersweet Comment

작년에도 저거 만들어뒀을거 생각하면 마음 한켠이 쓰리네 = When I think about making that last year, I feel sad.

작년에도(작년 = last year) 에(~= at/in/on) 도(= also)

저거 = that

만들(만들다 = to make) 어뒀(~어 두다=complete an action + past tense) 을거(~ㄹ/을걸(요) = express regret, unsurety)

생각하(생가카다 = to think) 면(~면 = if/when)

마음 = mood/feeling

한켠이 = contextual, often attached to thinking/feeling + subject particle

쓰리(쓰리다 = to be hurt) 네(sentence-ending exclamation)
